We’re sure you hate the Boston Celtics’ new alternate uniforms, because they’re awful, but it’s not all bad news on the NBA uni front.

The Toronto Raptors will wear their original, bright purple “dinosaur” throwbacks when they host the Washington Wizards on Friday night, according to Paul Lukas of UniWatch.

The Raptors have gone to great lengths to brand themselves as “Canada’s Team” in recent years, going with the same red-and-black color scheme as the country’s national teams. They ditched the dino unis in 1999, and purple has been gone from the motif entirely since 2006.

That’s probably for the best, but for one night it will be fun to relive the 1990s again.

Not surprisingly, only one player in Friday’s game was in the league when the Raptors wore their original uniforms: Wizards forward Paul Pierce.
