It really isn’t fair to compare anyone’s career to Michael Jordan’s, but it’s especially unfair if you’re a rookie defenseman in the NHL.
Michal Jordan of the Carolina Hurricanes has heard all of the comparisons before, but that didn’t stop the Nashville Predators from having some fun with him during Wednesday’s game. The 24-year-old was playing in just his third NHL game of his young career when the Preds busted out a graphic showing how he stacked up against the greatest basketball player of all time.
Spoiler alert: He didn’t.
But the Czech Republic native had a sense of humor about the situation, tweeting a sarcastic “thank you” to Nashville after the game.
