Here’s some advice for Michael Jordan: Always proofread.

In a recent interview with New York Magazine, political advisor David Axelrod revealed that the former Chicago Bulls star spelled President Barack Obama’s name wrong on an autographed poster.

“When the president turned 50, I wanted to get him something special … so I sent it to Jordan to have him sign it for me,” Axelrod said.

According to New York Magazine, Jordan wrote, “To Barrack: you still owe me dinner. Wishing you well, Michael Jordan.”

Axelrod said it didn’t go so well when he gave the gift to Obama.

“I gave it to the president, and he said, ‘I can’t put this up, he misspelled my name!’ So I said, ‘Fine, I’ll take it.’”

The poster now hangs in the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago, but we have a feeling Jordan never got that dinner. Especially after all the golf jokes he made about Obama back in October.
