Colin Kaepernick Apologizes For Ridiculous Instagram Post About Houston Floods

Colin Kaepernick made a big-time mistake Tuesday.

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback was not a popular man in the social media world for what many perceived to be an insensitive and borderline insulting Instagram post. In the post, Kaepernick used a photo of the devastating floods in Houston to push his self-promoting hashtag “#7tormscoming,” whatever that means.

Kaepernick IGSo, that didn’t go over very well, and if you can’t understand why, you might be dumber than Kaepernick himself.

Kaepernick eventually deleted the post (thank goodness for screenshots, though), and he also issued an apology — of sorts.

Literally two minutes after that weak attempt to apologize and obviously feeling awful about his tone-deaf attempt to compare himself to a natural disaster, Kaepernick sent this tweet, linking to a shirtless picture of himself on his Instagram page.

We’re guessing someone in Kaepernick’s camp got a hold of the quarterback and had him issue this much more formal apology.

You would think the picture of the cars underwater — that Kaepernick posted — might have given him an idea of what Houston was dealing with, but apparently not.
