Adrian Peterson Is Vital To Vikings’ Success, Despite Character Flaws

Adrian Peterson’s personal downfalls are well-documented.

The Minnesota Vikings running back basically didn’t play in 2014 because he decided hitting his kid was the most reasonable way to punish him. There also were several other rumors that dragged Peterson through the mud, and seemingly every time he opened his mouth the entire world slapped their hands on their foreheads.

The things he did never will be forgotten entirely. Some always will hold his wrongdoings against him. Heck, you might believe he’s simply not a good person, despite his insistence that he has apologized, repented and reformed his ways, and no one would hold it against you.

But in Minnesota, the past is the past. The Vikings pay Peterson a lot of money to be their home run hitter, so to speak. When healthy and on the field, Peterson is arguably the most dynamic running back in the NFL.

Needless to say, they’re happy to have him back on the field and focused. As FootballbyFootball.com’s Brady Poppinga explains, Peterson’s presence as a football player could do wonders for Minnesota in a relatively weak division.
