Some right quad tightness wasn’t enough to take out the Panda.

After exiting Saturday’s contest in the seventh inning, third baseman Pablo Sandoval is back in the Boston Red Sox’s lineup Sunday as they look to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park. Sandoval will bat in the No. 6 spot after going 2-for-3 with two RBIs in Saturday’s 5-4 extra-innings loss.

The rest of the Red Sox’s lineup Sunday remains unchanged from the day before with the exception of Blake Swihart taking over at catcher and batting ninth for Sandy Leon. Mookie Betts (back soreness) and a slumping Mike Napoli will sit for a second straight game.

Rookie Eduardo Rodriguez will take the mound for Boston, and he’ll be looking to continue dealing. The 22-year-old has given up just one run through three starts and 20 2/3 innings. Rodriguez took a no-decision in his last start against the Baltimore Orioles, however, as the Red Sox lost 1-0 after he turned in six scoreless innings of three-hit ball.
