Brandon Marshall ‘Got Into It’ With Jets Teammate After Loss To Patriots

New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall’s self-deprecating tweet apparently wasn’t his only display of emotion following Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots.

Marshall said Tuesday on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” while discussing Greg Hardy’s sideline dust-up with the Dallas Cowboys that he actually had his own confrontation with a teammate after the Jets fell to the Patriots 30-23 in an important AFC East clash at Gillette Stadium.

“There’s emotions that come with the game,” Marshall said. “There’s a lot of testosterone. I mean you put so much into the week, you know you get disappointed and you get frustrated in those moments. This Sunday, I got into it with a teammate, but we got in the locker room, we talked it out and we love each other.”

Outbursts, disagreements, arguments and sometimes even full-fledged fights are part of the game. After all, we’re talking about grown men sharing a locker room and playing a physical game for a lot of money, pride and, in some cases, championship glory.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula recently compared a “heated” team meeting to “an Italian dining room table,” with players all yelling at each other and going their separate ways before reconvening and settling their differences.

Marshall sounds willing to pull up a chair, provided everyone eats together after their rough patches.
