The Golden State Warriors once again are without their best player Thursday night.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters prior to Thursday’s Game 3 against the Houston Rockets that point guard Stephen Curry will sit out with an ankle injury, which he suffered in Game 1 of the teams’ first-round NBA playoff series. Curry also missed Game 2 with the same injury.

Kerr added that it was “too big a risk” to play Curry without practicing, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan Feigen, but that the Warriors are “hopeful” the reigning NBA MVP will play Game 4 on Sunday.
