Nyquist was the favorite entering the 2016 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, closing at 2/1 odds. After a great start and a so-so middle, he pulled away in the final stretch to win the sport’s most prestigious race.
He now will move on to the Preakness and attempt to win the second leg of the Triple Crown, which American Pharoah did last year.
