BOSTON — There wasn’t a dull moment in the Red Sox’s series against the New York Yankees at Fenway Park.

Sunday’s thriller was full of dingers and some exciting offense — at the expense of the pitching, though — and this one ultimately went to the Red Sox thanks to a two-run homer off the bat of catcher Christian Vazquez to give Boston an 8-7 win.

Red Sox starter David Price struggled again, but he still ended up getting credit for the win in Boston’s sweep of the Yankees.

Here’s how it all went down.

GAME IN A WORD
Wild.

It’s hard to get more exciting than Red Sox-Yankees, and this game lived up to that. The rivals were trading leads throughout nine innings, and there were plenty of crushed baseballs before this game came to an end.

IT WAS OVER WHEN …
Craig Kimbrel retired the side in the ninth.

The Yankees pulled within one run in the eighth inning, so Kimbrel had to be lights-out in the ninth. That proved to be no problem, though, and the closer earned the save.

ON THE BUMP
— Price was roughed up at Fenway Park again, but if it’s any consolation, the left-hander did finish strong. Price allowed six earned runs on eight hits — including a huge two-run homer to Alex Rodriguez — with one walk and just three strikeouts, but he retired the final six batters he saw.

— Koji Uehara allowed a run in the eighth after giving up a double to Starlin Castro, who went on to take third on a Chase Headley groundout and home on a wild pitch. However, he ended the inning with a strikeout to Yankees outfielder Carlos Beltran, finishing with one run on one hit with one walk and two strikeouts.

— Kimbrel retired the side with two strikeouts in the ninth. Yawn.

IN THE BATTER’S BOX
— Vazquez wound up being Sunday night’s hero. The catcher got his first hit in the seventh inning, and it was a two-run moonshot over the Green Monster against Dellin Betances. Vazquez finished the night 1-for-4 with a run and two RBIs.

It was Vazquez’s first homer of the season.

— Travis Shaw also hit a two-run home run to tie things up in the fifth inning, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run.

— Dustin Pedroia had a good night, too, going 3-for-5 with a run. Xander Bogaerts went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI.

— Mookie Betts went 1-for-5 with a run. David Ortiz went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.

— Hanley Ramirez knocked in a couple of runs with a single in the third inning. The first baseman went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run.

— Brock Holt collected a little bit of everything on the box score, going 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a walk. Jackie Bradley Jr. went 1-for-3 with a walk.

TWEET OF THE NIGHT
This. Was. Crushed.

UP NEXT
The Red Sox get an off day before heading to Chicago on Tuesday to face the White Sox. Both teams will send out two of their best starters in knuckleballer Steven Wright for the Red Sox and left-hander Jose Quintana for the White Sox.
