Beer-Drinking, Selfie-Taking Nun Is Lone Highlight In Latest Phillies Loss

It’s hard to blame Philadelphia Phillies fans who find it necessary to drown their sorrows after watching the hometown team.

The Phils lost again Monday, marking their seventh consecutive loss and their ninth in their last 10 games. Philly scored just nine runs on its six-game homestand and is now 11 games under .500, all but erasing any hopes after a surprisingly strong start to the season.

The losing apparently is taking its toll, even on the holiest of Phillies fans. TV cameras on Monday even caught a nun enjoying a cold beer (and taking a selfie) as she sat in the sun at Citizens Bank Park enduring yet another Phillies loss.

Hopefully the selfie came out good, at least.
