Draymond Green Reportedly Will Watch Game 5 From Suite At Oakland A’s Game

It appears Draymond Green will be the least interested fan at Monday’s Oakland Athletics game.

The Golden State Warriors forward is suspended for Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals thanks to his Game 4 shot to the groin of LeBron James. As such, he won’t be allowed inside Oracle Arena on Monday during what could be a championship-clinching win for Golden State, which owns a 3-1 series lead.

So, where will Green root on his team as it seeks back-to-back titles? According to ESPN’s Marc J. Spears, he’ll watch the action right next door at O.co Coliseum, where the A’s will be playing the Texas Rangers.

Here’s where things get interesting: Green will be barred from Oracle Arena from two hours before tip-off until the final whistle, but would be allowed to join the team for any postgame celebrations, per ESPN’s Marc Stein.

As Spears points out, O.co Coliseum and Oracle Arena are connected by a tunnel, meaning Green could rush down from his suite at the A’s game and join the Warriors on the floor in celebration should they take care of business against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

And if the Cavs are able to force a Game 6? Maybe Green will stick around to catch the end of the A’s-Rangers American League West clash. We wouldn’t bet on it, though.
