Andrew Takahashi hit a go-ahead, two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning Sunday to lead Glastonbury (Conn.) to a come-from-behind, 10-8 win over Bangor East (Maine).

Glastonbury was trailing 8-4 entering what could have been their final at-bat in the top of the sixth, but Josh Herlands smashed a one-out grand slam to knot the score at 8.

"I was just thinking of getting a base hit and scoring a run, as every run counts," Herlands told the Hartford Courant.

"I'm glad he got the hit," Takahashi said.

With the win, Glastonbury moved to 1-1 and stayed alive for a potential semifinal spot. Bangor East — now 0-3 — was eliminated from semifinal contention.
