Bruins Send Zach Hamill, Brad Marchand to Providence

The Bruins assigned Zach Hamill and Brad Marchand to AHL affiliate Providence on Monday, Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli announced.

Hamill played in six preseason games for the Bruins, scoring two goals. He was the eight overall pick in the 2007 draft, and scored 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points in 65 with Providence last season.

Marchand played in five games during preseason for the Bruins, also scoring two goals. He was selected in the third round (71st) overall in the 2006 draft, and scored 18 goals and 41 assists for 59 points in 79 games last season with Providence.

The Bruins now have 22 players remaining on their NHL roster as a result of these transactions.
