The Giants likely won't go very far without Eli Manning under center, but initial signs out of New Jersey are positive for the 28-year-old signal caller.

Manning left Sunday's win against the Chiefs after hurting his foot in a non-contact situation. On Monday, though, Manning was seen walking into the team's practice facility without a protective boot, the New York Post reports.

The report says that the injury was officially deemed a bruised heel and that it will likely"be considered a day-to-day deal, unless tests reveal any real damage."

This season, Manning has completed 63.2 percent of his passes and thrown eight touchdowns and two interceptions.
