As recently as the end of last week, no one knew how Eli Manning's plantar fascia injury in his right foot would impact his ability to play against the Raiders on Sunday or in the coming weeks. But after leading the Giants to their fifth win in five games this season, Manning's foot seems to be feeling fine with each day.

Manning completed eight of his 10 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns before being taken out of the game late in the second quarter of the Giants' 44-7 rout. He finished his shortened start with a perfect 158.3 passer rating to keep the Giants sitting pretty on top of the NFC East.

"I felt good," Manning told the New York Daily News on Monday. "I moved around and didn’t have a setback by any means. I feel like it’s getting better every day and should feel better this week and keep improving."

Manning is expected to participate in practice throughout the entire week as the Giants prepare to face the undefeated Saints in New Orleans.

"I’d like to get every rep in practice and be out there with the guys," he said. "That’s the thought process right now."
