Justin Tuggle, Josh Haden Transfer From Boston College Among quarterback Justin Tuggle's assets were arm strength and running ability. Not among them: patience.

The 19-year-old, who started the season opener for the Eagles, has decided to transfer, along with running back Josh Haden.

"Both young men expressed a desire to pursue their educations and football careers elsewhere," Eagles head coach Frank Spaziani said in a release. "Each has contributed to our football program, and we wish them well."

Tuggle was named the starter on opening weekend due to a preseason injury to 25-year-old freshman Dave Shinskie. Tuggle went on to start two more games, completing 13 of 37 passes for 229 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. In his final start, Tuggle went 4-for-20 for 23 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions on Sept. 19 against Clemson. He had one rushing attempt the following week and has not played since.

It looked like Tuggle moved to third on the depth chart during the Eagles' loss to Virginia Tech on Oct. 10, when Mike Marscovetra replaced Shinskie.

Haden was the team's second-leading rusher with 221 yards on 59 carries (3.7 YPC). His best game came on Sept. 26 against Wake Forest, when he rushed for 93 yards on 17 carries. Playing behind Montel Harris (794 yards, 11 TD), Haden found the end zone just once.
