Confetti Does What Gator Defense Couldn't: Stop Mark Ingram The Crimson Tide took a Gator-sized bite out of Florida’s 2009 season as Alabama rolled to a 32-13 crushing of Tim Tebow and Co. in the SEC championship game.

Leading the way was Heisman-hopeful running back Mark Ingram, who rushed for 113 yards and three scores in the victory.

Some NESN.com readers are passionate about their Boson sports — others, well, they’re even more passionate. Take for instance Marco, who has been bashing the Bruins’ front office since trading away winger Phil Kessel in September. This reader hasn’t let a Bruins fan forget how well Kess has been doing north of the border and how sorry the hockey Hub will be for letting him flee.

On Saturday night, Marco and the Bruins faithful welcomed Kess back to the Garden, but the results for the young Leafs winger were less than acceptable as he finished with no points and a minus-3 rating in the 7-2 loss.

Marco took the Bruins victory/Kessel defeat in stride — and like most fans do –quickly turned the attention elsewhere.

“Good lesson,
Kess u lose Rd. 1.
Came back strong
Can we look into
trading Thomas?
P.C. get Ilya and Rask in nets and we will go far.”
-Marco

Boston native and former Providence Bruins skipper Peter Laviolette‘s Flyers may be on a cold streak, but Daniel Carcillo‘s right hook remains red-hot.

The NHL has released the following commercial to get your Bostonian blood boiling for the Jan. 1 Classic.
