Kobe Bryant was named MVP of the NBA Finals late on Thursday night in Los Angeles.

Bryant has now won five NBA titles and two consecutive NBA Finals MVP awards.

Despite being down by as many as 13 in the second half, Bryant helped L.A. earn its 16th NBA title, even though he was far from his best. He tallied 23 points on 6-for-24 shooting, but the difference was made on the boards. Bryant finished with 15 rebounds in 45 minutes of action.

"This was by far the sweetest one because it's [against the Celtics]," Bryant said after the game, "and it was the hardest one, by far."
