Celtics Kick Off Summer League Action in Orlando Against Thunder on July 5

Do the Celtics have a future star in their midst? The talent evaluation process begins next week.

The Celtics begin summer league play in Orlando on Monday, July 5, with a matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder at 5 p.m. ET. 

Second-round pick Luke Harangody will join current Celtics Oliver Lafayette and Tony Gaffney. Lafayette was a member of the developmental team last season, while Gaffney joined Boston for the end of the season and playoffs. Semih Erden, a 2008 Celtics second-rounder, also will be joined by rookie free agents Rodney Green, Matt Janning, Art Parakhouski, DeShawn Sims, Ryan Thompson and Ryan Wittman. Jaycee Carroll and Vyacheslav Kravtsov fill out the roster.

The summer league consists of five games in five days, starting with the Thunder. The Celtics play the 76ers on Tuesday at 5 p.m., the Bobcats on Wednesday at 1 p.m., the Pacers on Thursday at 3 p.m. and the Nets on Friday at 12 p.m.
