David Letterman, Denis Leary, Albert Pujols Take Batting Practice on 53rd Street Traffic died down on 53rd street in Manhattan on Monday but that’s not to say it was a safe spot for tourists and New Yorkers.

David Letterman welcomed actor and Boston native Denis Leary and Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols to take batting practice outside the Late Show With David Letterman studios.

Leary, the star of FX’s Rescue Me, was donning his usual Red Sox attire and was able to get the left-handed hitting host to ground out and foul one back before the third offering was laced to the would-be right-center gap.
