From the Bean to the Big Easy, it has been reported that former Boston College offensive lineman Matt Tennant has signed a contract with the New Orleans Saints.

Tennant was a fifth-round pick of the 2010 Super Bowl champions, and has reportedly signed a contract valued at $1.96 million.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman was a three-year starter for the BC Eagles and was also a team captain. New Orleans traded for Tennant back in April after he was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars 158th overall in the NFL Draft. He will serve behind the Saints' current centers, Jonathan Goodwin and Nick Leckey.

Tennant started 41-consecutive games to conclude his collegiate career, and allowed just 1 1/2 sacks in his final two seasons.
