Brett Favre Potentially Leaving NFL, But Certainly Not Leaving TV Commercials Brett Favre
may or may not be retiring from football.

He most likely isn’t even going to contemplate retiring from television commercials.

We are all well aware that when Favre thinks of value, he thinks of Wrangler, but that’s far from his only product endorsement.

Lets take a quick trip down memory lane.

There was his Hyundai commercial last year, in which he waffled about retirement after winning Super Bowl MVP in 2020 and his Sears electronics with the same premise. There was even a time when he could do ads that weren’t about that running joke. Who could forget his “I would’ve double-bagged it” Mastercard ad or his “chainsawing logs” Prilosec ad?

He did some we may not quite remember too, such as his Right Guard ad that featured him photographing women while on a safari. There’s also a lawnmower ad that featured absolutely no creativity.

It’s hard to tell which records of his are more impressive, the marks for career passing yards and consecutive starts, or the pure number of products endorsed. Equally unclear is whether the gunslinger is trying to hog attention and create drama around him or if the media is simply promoting a story that they know will draw viewers.

The fact that so many companies want him in the spotlight on their behalf should be a pretty decent clue as to which is closer to the truth.

The Celtics can now prepare for their opening night battle with the Three Kings and the rest of Miami’s team. As a road game for the Heat, they won’t be able to emerge like N.W.O. or Triple H, with “Yes We Did” flashing around the arena and enough smoke kill all the termites in South Florida.
