Former Yankee pitcher and Worcester, Mass., native Tanyon Sturtze was involved in a bar fight in the city on Saturday night, according to The Telegram & Gazette.

The report says that the former major league pitcher was involved in a tussle at The Perfect Game Bar in Worcester on Saturday night.

Sturtze was allegedly harassing the girlfriend of Peter J. Boudreau. The 22-year-old Boudreau confronted Sturtze about it, which led to the brawl.

Boudreau was reportedly injured after being hit in the head with a bottle, while Sturtze also suffered a facial injury.

Neither men wants to press charges, but Christopher Nussey, a 21-year-old friend of Boudreau, said that he wants to press charges after being punched in the face and being kicked several times. Nussey claims that he and Sturtze started fighting before someone came over and punched Nussey, knocking him to the ground where he was then kicked repeatedly.

Red Sox fans, of course, will remember Sturtze for his role in the famed 2004 brawl with the New York Yankees which was started after Jason Varitek and Alex Rodriguez came to blows.

Sturtze was left with a bloody ear after making the unfortunate decision to try and grapple with Red Sox outfielder Gabe Kapler.
