Two more former Bruins are off the free-agent market, and one is off the continent altogether.

Forward Glen Metropolit, 36, has signed a two-year deal with EV Zug in Switzerland. It will be the second stint in Switzerland for Metropolit, who posted 24-39-63 totals in 44 games for Lugano in 2005-06.

Metropolit resurrected his NHL career in Boston in 2007-08. After earning a spot on a tryout invitation to training camp, Metropolit scored a career-high 33 points with the Bruins. Last year, he tallied a career-best 16 goals, along with 13 assists, in 69 games with Montreal. The Bruins certainly won’t be too upset to see him leave the NHL, as four of those goals and two assists came in six games against Boston.

The Bruins will have to deal with defenseman Shaone Morrisonn, who signed a two-year deal of his own with Northeast Division rival Buffalo.

Morrisonn, 27, was the Bruins’ first-round pick in 2001 (19th overall), but played just 41 games in Boston in 2002-04 with 1-7-8 totals before being dealt to Washington in a package to land Sergei Gonchar at the 2004 trade deadline.

Morrisonn had been with the Capitals ever since, and had 1-11-12 totals and was a plus-8 last year. Overall, he’s posted 10-60-70 totals with 423 penalty minutes and a plus-36 rating in 418 career games.
