Test Your Knowledge About Super Bowl Halftime Acts The Super Bowl halftime act is more important than the actual game according to a good chunk of the annual contest's viewers.

Over the last decade, Patriots fans have seen their fair share of shows and from rap to country, the show always seems to earn a positive review — wardrobe malfunction or not.

In New England's XXXVIII win over the Panthers in Houston, it was Janet Jackson, P. Diddy, Nelly, Kid Rock and Justin Timberlake lighting up the stage.

En route to the Pats' 24-21 win over the Eagles in Jacksonville in 2005, Pats fans were treated to Sir Paul McCartney's renditions of "Drive My Car," "Get Back," "Live and Let Die" and "Hey Jude."

In their most recent, yet unsuccessful Super Bowl appearance in 2008, the Pats and Giants were replaced by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers for 20 minutes between halves. The legendary rocker treated the crowd to "American Girl," "I Won't Back Down," "Free Fallin'" and "Runnin' Down a Dream."
