Report: Rex Ryan Lashes Out at Le’Ron McClain for Disrespecting Jets

It's been over 24 hours since Rex Ryan was last in the news for flying down to Miami to convince Darrelle Revis to end his holdout.

That, clearly, was too long.

Baltimore Ravens fullback LeRon McClain took it upon himself to stir the pot prior to the impending Jets-Ravens game on Monday night by saying he's glad that Darrelle Revis is back with New York "so there won’t be any excuses now," the New York Post reports.

Ryan, as always, rose to the bait.

"I don’t know what’s wrong with Le'Ron," Ryan responded in the Post. "He said something about there’s no excuses. He must have us confused with somebody else. I don’t think we make any excuses. Last year, we didn’t have our starting 11 guys on defense for a single game and yet we led the league.

“We don’t make excuses. All we do is produce … and that’s what we’re planning to do Monday night."

After strong playoff performances last season and a string of offseason acquisitions, both the Jets and Ryan's former team are considered among the favorites in the AFC.
