Paul Pierce is a man of the people.

The Celtics' star forward announced Wednesday afternoon that he'd be giving away box seats for Wednesday night's preseason finale to fans who meet him at the Garden.

"Got box seats for tonites game if u catch me Pullin into arena I'm headed there now," Pierce wrote on his Twitter page.

Pierce has engaged in similar giveaways with fans before. Last March, he wrote on Twitter that the first five fans wearing his jersey outside the Garden would get free tickets to the game. Sure enough, Pierce rolled right up and handed out the tickets.

The Celtics play the Nets on Wednesday at the TD Garden. It's their final preseason tune-up before Tuesday's season opener against the Miami Heat.
