A player’s value can be looked at by how many points he scores, what he brings to the table on both offense and defense or how a player makes everyone around him better.
Or, a player’s value can be determined by putting all of those things together.
In today’s NBA, there are certain players across the league that some teams just can’t live without. These are the types of players, that, if you were to take them off that team, their playoff chances would be greatly reduced and any talks of championships would cease.
Deeper teams can afford the loss of All-Stars. Of course, teams with less depth treasure their franchise players that much more. Then, there are some players who are just so good that losing them, regardless of how good a team is, could be crippling.
