Heading into last Thursday’s showdown with the Thrashers, the Bruins were scuffling some. They had lost four of five, and there was plenty of talk about what should have been done.
That night, however, the Bruins came out firing, led by Shawn Thornton, who dropped the gloves two seconds in before scoring two goals for the B’s. The result? A 4-1 win over the Thrashers in Boston.
A week later, the Bruins have won three straight including that one, and they head to Atlanta for a rematch with the Thrashers.
