The Jets have one of the best offensive lines in football, but when they take the field on Sunday in Foxboro, that unit will be shorthanded.

Tackle Damien Woody was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday head coach Rex Ryan told the media. The 33-year-old right tackle injured his left Achilles' tendon late in New York's dramatic 17-16 win at Indianpolis on Saturday in the wild card round.

Woody was coming off of one of his best performances of the year against the Colts. The 12-year veteran was able to hold defensive end Robert Mathis without a sack.

Ryan said that Wayne Hunter will start in place of the Boston College product on the right side.
