FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots are rich with early-round picks in April's draft, and they now know when they'll first be on the clock.

The Pats own the Raiders' first-round pick from last season's trade of Richard Seymour, and they found out Sunday night that pick will be the 17th overall selection. The Raiders and Jaguars each finished with 8-8 records, but the Jaguars had a weaker strength of schedule, giving them the 16th selection while the Raiders got No. 17.

The Patriots' own first-round pick will be between Nos. 28-32, depending on how long they're in the playoffs. They'll pick 28th if they lose their playoff debut, 30th if they lose in the AFC Championship, 31st if they lose in the Super Bowl and 32nd if they win the Super Bowl.
