The wait is over for Mike Bibby's buyout.

The Wizards bought out Bibby's contract on Monday, according to ESPN.

The move comes less than a week after trading Kirk Hinrich for the 12-year veteran point guard, and it was all but a foregone conclusion that he would be bought out.

The move now puts Washington $20 million beneath the salary cap for next year, as Bibby gave up his entire $6.2 million salary as part of the deal, according to ESPN.

The Heat, Celtics, and Trail Blazers are reportedly interested in Bibby, who recently voiced his desire to play for a title contender.
