Report: Warriors Buy Out Troy Murphy, Celtics, Heat Leading Suitors The Warriors bought out Troy Murphy on Monday, and the big man is now reportedly deciding whether to offer his services to the Celtics or the Heat.

The Celtics currently lack size after trading away Kendrick Perkins, Luke Harangody and Semih Erden. They would benefit from Murphy’s 6-foot-11, 245-pound frame immediately.

Should Murphy sign with the Heat, they would have to make a move, as they currently have just 15 players on their roster, according to ESPN.

Although Murphy hasn’t done much this season, his resume includes success with Golden State and Indiana, posting near double-double career numbers.
