Red Sox first basmeman Adrian Gonzalez has progressed from a shoulder injury ahead of schedule all spring. On Wednesday, he achieved a couple more milestones.

Gonzalez, seeing game action in back-to-back days for the first time this spring, got six at-bats in a minor league game one day after playing with the big club against Tampa Bay. Gonzalez also made the switch from a 31-ounce bat to a 33-ounce bat, the weight he prefers to use. Both are obviously good signs in the recovery of the All-Star who had offseason shoulder injury.
