Showdown With Ulf Samuelsson Among Top 10 Creative Ways NHL Can Make Sure Matt Cooke Learns a Lesson For pretty much the entirety of Matt Cooke‘s career, we knew that he was one of the game’s elite cheap-shot artists. What Cooke’s continued transgressions are really exposing to us is that Mario Lemieux is kind of coming off like a hypocrite.

This, of course, is nothing new, after Super Mario spent much of his career playing behind some of the game’s tougher (er, dirtier) players.

One of those players was Ulf Samuelsson, a name that will forever draw the ire of Bruins fans everywhere for the role Samuelsson played in shortening Cam Neely‘s career.

Maybe the NHL can look to Samuelsson to teach Cooke a lesson if the 14-17 game suspension the Penguin received for his most recent cheap shot doesn’t deliver the message.
