Vote: What Area of the Game Do Bruins Need to Improve Most to Win Series With Lightning?

It took all of 85 seconds to flip the script.

Mid-way through the first period of Game 1, the Lightning put three goals past Tim Thomas in under two minutes, giving Tampa Bay a 3-0 lead from which they never looked back.

The victory was a comprehensive one. Tampa didn't squeak out the win. They were better in just about every phase of the game, but what should be the Bruins' biggest concern come Game 2?

The faceoff differential between the two teams was a nearly unbelievable 41-26 in favor of Tampa. Once open play resumed, the Bruins simply couldn't get or keep the puck, making it very difficult for them to dig out of the three-goal hole.

Special teams, perhaps predictably, didn't help Boston's cause either. Not only did the Bruins revert to scoreless form on the man advantage, but they allowed the Lightning to score on their vaunted penalty kill. Many believed special teams would be a significant advantage for Tampa Bay. The Bruins simply must limit such to have a chance in the series.

On the other hand, the Bruins are believed to have the goaltending edge, but don't tell that to Tampa Bay goalie Dwayne Roloson. He outplayed Thomas in Game 1, allowing just two goals on 33 shots while Thomas uncharacteristically let five in.
