Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was intent on making sure his wedding was a secret.

In fact, when he signed up to rent out the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, he listed the purpose as being a "movie production."

It wasn't, however, the most economically effecient wedding reception, according to a report by TribLIVE.com.

The two-time Super Bowl champion paid more than $113,000 to rent out the entire building — and that's not including security guards, the dozens of carpenters who constructed the room and the cost for catering the over 600 guests in attendance.

"I'll bet you, without even thinking about it, it was $300 a person, without even thinking about it," said John Smith, who owns a catering service in Robinson, Penn. "Roethlisberger is just on a whole other level, so they could even be in the $300- to $500-a-head market."

Ryan Tollner, Roethlisberger's agent, would not discuss the price of the wedding, saying only that "it was important to them to use a local venue and local vendors."
