California and LSU were discovered to be involved with scout Willie Lyles, the man whom Oregon hired to influence potential recruits, The Oregonian reports.

Lyles, a Houston-based prep football scout, is being investigated by the NCAA for allegations that Oregon was paying him to influence prospects to play for the Ducks. Reports indicate Oregon paid up to $25,000 for his services.

The Oregonian reports that Cal and LSU also paid for Lyles' help, but at much lower costs. The newspaper cites an invoice in which Lyles charged Cal $5,000 for the line item that reads "2010 National Package," which is similar to the Oregon invoice that reads "2011 National Package."

Lyles also billed LSU $6,000 for what the Tigers' invoice states as game film from California and Kansas junior colleges.

Lyles, the NCAA and the schools in question have thus far declined to comment on the matter.
