Vote: Who Is the Best Center Fielder in the American League East?Jacoby Ellsbury is stinging the ball this season, but he’s not the only center fielder in the American League East that’s having a solid year both at the dish, on the bases and in the field.

Currently leading all AL outfielders with 123 hits, Ellsbury belted a pair of homers on Wednesday in Baltimore to cap off a series in which he went 6-for-12 with five runs scored. The leadoff hitter currently has a .316 batting average to go with 70 runs scored, 54 RBIs and an .884 OPS.

Although he hasn’t had a stolen base since July 7, he is tied with fellow AL East center fielder Rajai Davis for second most in the league with 28 swipes.

Davis was off to a slow start due to an injury this year, but along with his 28 swipes, he has six triples and is on pace to set a personal high in runs scored as he has already crossed the plate 40 times in just 285 at-bats.

Speaking of runs scored, Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson leads the MLB with 85 and is tied for second in homers with 26. He’s also in the top 10 in RBIs (70), OPS (.939) and triples (eight).

B.J. Upton, one of the most-talented five-tool stars in the game, is having a down year and has a .234 BA to show for it. Upton has 52 RBIs, 47 runs scored and 22 swipes despite his woes.

The fifth and final AL East outfield captain, Adam Jones, is second among the group in batting average (.287), hits (104), RBIs (56) and homers (16).
