After rolling to a 7-3 win over the Canadiens in Halifax on Sunday, the Bruins have set their roster for Monday night's rematch in Montreal.
As expected, the Bruins will limit the drama for this preseason clash a bit. Zdeno Chara, Public Enemy No. 1 in Montreal since his controversial hit on Max Pacioretty last March, will not be dressed for this one.
Benoit Pouliot will also get the night off after playing in each of the Bruins' first three preseason games. He will have to wait until the regular season to play in Montreal, where he's spent the past two seasons with the Canadiens.
Nathan Horton is scheduled for a night off as well after making his preseason debut on Sunday, with Patrice Bergeron and Tim Thomas also not slated to play.
But there are still plenty of veterans expected to play in this one, including David Krejci, Milan Lucic, Chris Kelly and Shawn Thornton up front and Dennis Seidenberg, Andrew Ference and Johnny Boychuk headlining the defense. Ference presumably will check his gloves for any malfunctions before venturing back out in front of the Bell Centre crowd.
Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin will be the goalies dressed. Rask is likely to get the start after Khudobin played Sunday night in Halifax.
There's also a number of players still battling for the final roster spots in the lineup for this one. Youngsters Jamie Arniel, Jordan Caron, Lane MacDermid and Max Sauve, along with veteran tryout Chris Clark, are vying for jobs up front. Steven Kampfer, Matt Bartkowski and Colby Cohen are competing for the seventh defenseman job.
