You may not be able to watch your favorite NBA stars in action this season, but you will still be able to play as them in a virtual 2011-12 season.
Even with the current NBA lockout, 2K Sports is releasing its latest game, NBA 2K12, on Oct. 4. Last year, NBA 2K11 became the first video game to feature Michael Jordan as its cover athlete. Jordan has mysteriously been in and out of basketball video games over the years, even after his playing career ended. In this year's game, however, His Airness has brought a few of his friends to play, too.
NBA 2K12 offers gamers the chance to play as basketball legends such as Julius 'Dr. J' Erving, John Stockton, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and Celtics' greats Bill Russell and Larry Bird.
