Amir Khan Attacks Timothy Bradley on Twitter, Refuses to Actually Fight Him

Amir Khan is a beast — at least on Twitter — and Timothy Bradley has awakened the beast.

Bradley came out earlier this week saying that it had been Khan avoiding a fight between the two boxing stars, and not the other way around as Khan has claimed.

Bradley, who had his welterweight title stripped when he refused to face Khan, has signed with Top Rank and will return to the ring against Joel Casamayor on Nov. 12 as the undercard for Manny Pacquiao versus Juan Manuel Marquez. Bradley has taken the time during his media tour to attack Khan.

Bradley continued, challenging Khan to a fight via his own Twitter account.

“Announcement! if @amirkingkhan is confident I’m willing to do winner takes all!!!! #teambradley #desertstorm,” Bradley wrote.

Khan, never one to back off from a fight, replied with a rant on his Twitter account.

Khan began his rant quite festively, with a joke and jab at Bradley.

“why did the chicken cross the road? Because he didn’t want to fight Amir Khan! And now he wants to come back again twitter rant time!” Khan wrote.

Khan then continued on said Twitter rant, saying Bradley avoided him for six months and now wants a 50-50 split for a fight in 2012. Khan refuses to give him the offer after Bradley had refused a similar offer to fight in England.

“Bradley denied me the chance of becoming undisputed champion, and I’m gonna make him regret it, He needs me now! I’m the bigger draw!” said Khan.

Khan finished by saying he is focused on his fight with Lamont Peterson on Dec. 10 and will not discuss who his next opponent might be.
