Fitchburg State University senior Kyle Anderson got perhaps the best gift he’s ever received this past week. The 22-year-old Patriots fan won the “Very Gronkowski Christmas” raffle, allowing him to meet the second-year tight end.

In winning the raffle, which benefited the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence, Anderson had the opportunity to attend Saturday’s Pats-Dolphins game, during which he had the chance to meet Gronkowski. Anderson told WHDH that he spent $30 on 20 raffle tickets.

“It’s for charity, a lot of the proceeds go to the Boys and Girls Club and all that, so I might win tickets to a game, meet Gronk, and I can donate to charity. So why not?” said Anderson, who also revealed that he was given money for parking and food in addition to the tickets and the opportunity to meet Gronk.

He still had one more wish leading up to Saturday’s once-in-a-lifetime encounter, though.

“I want to make sure we spike ball together when I meet him,” Anderson said.
