Evelyn Lozada, former star of the VH1 reality series Basketball Wives and current fiancée of Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is reportedly being sued for receiving more than $500,000 illegally.

According to TMZ, it seems Lozada received $560,000 from her ex-fiancée and former Celtics forward Antoine Walker while he already knew he was going bankrupt. Walker filed for bankruptcy last year, and the bankruptcy trustee is now reportedly suing Lozada because he believes that her and Walker’s transaction was fraudulent, an attempt to hide money from legitimate creditors.

The trustee claims that Lozada used the money she received from Walker, with whom she broke up with in 2009, to start a Miami shoe store, Dulce, despite knowing that Walker was about to declare bankruptcy.

TMZ reports that Lozada and Walker insist there was no funny business. The former Celtic reportedly gave her the money to help pay bills, while sources also tell TMZ that Lozada funded her shoe store with money she obtained by selling her engagement ring. She reportedly had no idea that Walker was so far in debt.

The trustee reportedly wants the $560,000 back. Understandable because, well, most people like money.
