Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly is leaving the Heights at BC for the greener pastures of the NFL.

The three-time All-American has announced that he will forego his senior season and turn pro. Kuechly has led the nation in tackles for the past two years, including an absurd average of nearly 16 tackles per game during 2011 for a total of 191 tackles on the year (102 solo).

Kuechly broke the Boston College and ACC career tackle records with 532, despite having one year of eligibility left. He would have likely shattered the NCAA record for career tackles (which has only been tracked since 2000), set by Boomer Grigsby at Illinois State with 550.
