Minor league game. Major league catch.

Gwinnett Braves third baseman Alden Carrithers took care of the hot corner — and then some — on Sunday in an International League game against the Norfolk Tides when he redefined the meaning of “all out” on a foul ball that came down near the third base dugout. Carrithers drifted over to make the snag, then ended up going cleats-over-head as he extended his glove into the dugout to polish off the catch.

This was no ordinary dugout dive — there’s quite a dropoff below the padded railing and the bare concrete floor on this bench. Hamptonroads.com reported that Carrithers stayed in the game — and drew rave reviews from his opponents.

Check out Carrithers’ crazy play.
