An incident of unsportsmanlike conduct took place in a Pennsylvania high school football game Friday that made last month’s Richie Incognito–Antonio Smith dustup look like nothing.
During the third quarter of Hamburg High’s win overĀ Annville-Cleona, players from both sides began pushing and shoving after the whistle. What began as a typical scuffle quickly turned ugly, though, when Hamburg seniorĀ Joe Cominsky ripped off the helmet of Annville-Cleona’sĀ Josh Hartman and swung it twice at the lineman’s exposed head, making solid contact both times.
Cominsky was tossed from the game immediately and suspended for this week’s contest, and WGAL reports that police are considering filing charges stemming from the incident.
