Jaguars running back Jordan Todman is taking some heat for the celebration he used to commemorate his first NFL touchdown on Sunday.
The celebration itself was nothing scandalous — an innocuous “Shh” gesture toward the notoriously boisterous Seattle crowd — but the former UConn and Dartmouth High School star’s timing could use some serious work.
Todman’s score came during the fourth quarter of an absolute blowout — a game the Seahawks went on to win 45-17. Jacksonville trailed by 28 points at the time, and many of Seattle’s starters, including quarterback Russell Wilson, had already traded in their helmets for baseball caps.
A word of advice for our friend Jordan: If the other team has such a lead that they are voluntarily giving Tavaris Jackson significant playing time, it might be a good idea to save the celebrating for another day.
