The Pawtucket Red Sox introduced their new manager on Wednesday, naming Kevin Boles as the successor to Gary DiSarcina.

Boles moves up to Triple-A after spending the last three seasons as manager of the Red Sox’ Double-A affiliate, the Portland Sea Dogs. The Sea Dogs compiled a 195-229 record under Boles, who boasts a career mark of 797-786 in 13 years as a minor league skipper.

The PawSox have enjoyed tremendous success in the International League of late, reaching Governors’ Cup finals in each of the last two seasons and winning their first league title since 1984 in 2012.

DiSarcina, who led the team to an 80-63 record and a division championship in 2013, left after the season to become the third base coach of the Los Angeles Angels.
